Cucamaras new single ‘Porcelain’ out now
Nottingham’s hottest new prospects return with storming new single "‘Porcelain’.
Cucamaras have returned with the massive new single 'Porcelain'.
Nottingham's hottest prospects, the four piece have been making waves with their definitive, genre-spanning sound that incorporates elements of post-punk, indie and art pop to create something remarkable and unique.
Earlier this year saw the band release their debut EP Soft Soap, which saw rapturous praise from BBC Radio 1, NME, Clash and more, cementing their place as an outfit to watch this summer. Now, after a string of huge festival performances this summer Cucamaras are teeing up a huge end to 2022 with new track 'Porcelain', out today via EXAG’ records.
Led by a forboding, driving synth and subtle guitar hooks, the track, initially penned by Olly Bowley and Josh Hart in a bedroom during the recesses of lockdown, tells the tale of stationary success. Two pessimistic individuals convincing themselves that their “meaningless” endeavours were worthwhile for so long that now they believe it. Who is anyone else to tear up their bigger picture? A bigger picture that is as fragile as Porcelain.
The band will play their biggest headline show to date on 17 November at Nottingham's Rescue Rooms - a huge homecoming show that cements their ascent so far.
